Jason A. Barlow
Jason is a 1993 graduate of Old Dominion University. After spending three years with the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office, he obtained his law degree from the University of South Dakota in 2000. He began his legal career with Virginia Legal Aid Society. From there he moved to the Chesapeake Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, where he was responsible for the prosecution of felonies and misdemeanors in the district and circuit courts. During his tenure, he was the prosecutor primarily responsible for the prosecution of drug and firearm offenses. He has been an instructor at the Chesapeake Police Academy where he has taught classes on Fourth Amendment law, civil forfeiture law and narcotics.
